Radiant Silvergun is a vertical and multidirectional arcade shooter developed by Treasure, originally released on the Sega Saturn and later remastered for Xbox Live Arcade in 2011, with subsequent availability on PC and Nintendo Switch. Set on Earth and in space on July 14, 2520 A.D., the game frames its action around the mystery of humanity's extinction, sending players through varied terrestrial and orbital environments where enemies approach from multiple directions. The experience is structured around 23 boss encounters spread across these shifting battlefields. A central mechanical focus is the weapon leveling system, which rewards players for strategically deploying different armament types, and scoring is built around chaining bonuses to maximize point accumulation. The 2011 remaster was based on the Sega Saturn version of the game.
