Rayman 2: The Great Escape is a 3D platformer and adventure game developed by Ubisoft Shanghai, released in 2000 for PlayStation, with versions also available on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable. This Sony PlayStation edition differs substantially from other versions of the game: several levels were removed, merged, or restructured, and the collectible Yellow Lum count was reduced from 1,000 to 800. In place of caged Lums, players rescue Ludivs, Greenbottles, and Minisaurus. Some levels feature entirely new areas, and various cutscenes were reworked. The PlayStation release was the first version of the game to include full voice acting. Graphical changes appear throughout, most visibly in the Hall of Doors. A bonus level is also unlockable, giving players access to a stage drawn from an early 2D prototype of the game.
