Rhythm Sprout is a rhythm-action game developed by Surt, released in 2023 for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S. Players control Sprout, a self-proclaimed Chosen Onion, progressing through a self-aware comedic story set in the Vegetable Kingdom, complete with silly dialogue, pop culture references, and a cast of Sweet Villains. The game features around 30 handcrafted levels, each pairing an original music track with a themed 3D environment that incorporates small events and hidden easter eggs. The soundtrack spans a wide range of styles, including EDM, K-pop, Drum and Bass, Disco, Lo-fi hip-hop, and Metal, all composed specifically to align tightly with gameplay. Level modifiers — including Turbo, Mirror, Shuffle, and Totally Random modes — add replay value alongside standard difficulty settings and high-score challenges. Unlockable outfits and weapon skins provide additional customization for Sprout.
