Rock Band 4: Rivals Expansion is a 2016 music simulation add-on developed by Harmonix Music Systems for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Built on top of the base Rock Band 4 experience, the expansion introduces Rivals Mode, a competitive feature that places players against one another in an ongoing structured challenge. Synchronous online multiplayer is also added, allowing players to perform together in real time over the internet rather than being limited to local play.
