Rock Boshers DX: Director's Cut is a 2D arcade shooter developed by Tikipod, released in 2014 for PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch. Set in an alternate-history 1880s, the game casts a young Queen Victoria as its protagonist, navigating a Martian landscape in a bid to escape back to Earth. Gameplay blends top-down and side-scrolling perspectives with eight-directional shooting across levels populated by soldiers, zombies, giant bugs, and tanks. The presentation deliberately emulates 8-bit hardware aesthetics, offering a choice between NES and ZX Spectrum visual styles, complete with authentic loading sounds and border art, while modernizing the format with widescreen layouts and HD rendering.
