Rocky Legends is a boxing game developed by MGM Interactive, released in 2004 for Xbox and PlayStation 2. Serving as a prequel to the Rocky film series, the game allows players to take control of four iconic characters from the franchise — Rocky Balboa, Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang, and Ivan Drago — recreating or reimagining their careers within the series' established universe. Authentic locations and music from the films ground the experience in the source material. The career mode requires players to train progressively to improve their fighter's abilities, mirroring the discipline of professional boxing, and fight earnings can be spent to unlock additional characters, arenas, and movie trailers. Punch combinations play a central role in combat. A separate two-player mode offers straightforward head-to-head bouts outside of the career structure.
