Rodea the Sky Soldier is an action-adventure game developed by Prope, released in 2015 for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Set in a world of floating kingdoms, the game follows Rodea, a mechanical soldier who a millennium earlier helped Princess Cecilia repel an invasion of the sky kingdom of Garuda by the Naga Empire. Rediscovered in a desert by a young inventor named Ion and restored to working order, Rodea awakens to find Garuda has been at peace for a thousand years — a peace that quickly unravels as Naga forces launch a renewed assault. Bound by his ancient oath to protect Garuda, Rodea takes flight to defend the kingdom once more. Aerial movement is central to the gameplay, with Rodea navigating and battling enemies across the skies as he confronts the returning Naga threat.
