RWBY: Grimm Eclipse is a hack-and-slash action game developed by Rooster Teeth Games and released in 2016 for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Based on the animated series RWBY, it supports up to four players in online co-op and follows Team RWBY — Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang — through an original storyline set across locations from the world of Remnant, including areas not seen in the show. The campaign introduces new Grimm enemy types and a villain created exclusively for the game, with full voice acting from the series cast alongside additional talent. Combat draws mechanical inspiration from Dynasty Warriors in its large-scale melee action and from Left 4 Dead in its cooperative structure. Each character features unlockable abilities and upgrades, while a separate Horde Mode offers five maps centered on wave-based survival, node defense, and turret strategy.
