Sabre Wulf is a 1984 arcade adventure developed by Ashby Computers and Graphics Ltd., released across the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, BBC Microcomputer, and Amstrad CPC. The game casts the player as Sabreman, an explorer navigating a dense, colorful jungle presented through a flick-screen maze structure. The objective is to locate four scattered pieces of a broken amulet while contending with the jungle's hostile wildlife and the fearsome Sabre Wulf itself. Successfully reassembling the amulet is not the end — Sabreman must then find a way to escape the jungle entirely. Combat and evasion are central to survival, as numerous creatures roam the environment and pose a constant threat throughout the search. The game blends exploration and puzzle elements with arcade-style action, requiring players to manage both navigation and enemy encounters across the maze's many interconnected screens.
