Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson is a 3D side-scrolling hack-and-slash game developed by Tamsoft for the Nintendo 3DS, released in 2014 as a follow-up to Senran Kagura Burst. Players fight through stages using a roster of customizable characters, with options to modify outfits, accessory size and placement, and hair color. A notable addition to the formula is the pair battle system, in which a second character fights alongside the primary one and can be directed through player commands during combat. The game also incorporates augmented reality features, allowing characters to be posed against real-world backgrounds captured through the 3DS camera. Tamsoft, the same studio behind Senran Kagura Burst, handled development, carrying forward the series' action-focused gameplay while expanding it with cooperative combat mechanics and deeper personalization tools.
