Story:

Shadow of the Orient is a 2D pixel art action platformer developed by Spacelab Stud, released in 2024 for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS. The game follows Xiaolang, a warrior with elemental fire abilities who must confront a resurgent shadow clan after two centuries of dormancy, rescuing kidnapped children and restoring peace to a fantasy version of the orient. Gameplay spans three worlds divided across 15 maps, with players fighting through samurai soldiers and mythological creatures using both melee weapons, including a Dao sword, and ranged options. Each act culminates in a boss fight, and five dedicated speedrun levels offer additional challenge. Secret areas, two difficulty settings, and collectibles extend replayability, while completionists can expect roughly three to four hours of total playtime. The game features a digitized soundtrack and full controller support across all platforms.
