Shadow the Hedgehog is a 3D action-platformer developed by Sonic Team and released in 2005 for PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube, and Xbox. The game centers on Shadow the Hedgehog and his ongoing effort to recover his lost memories, a storyline that originated in Sonic Adventure 2, set against the backdrop of an alien invasion by a race known as the Black Arms and a broader conflict over the powerful Chaos Emeralds.
