Shantae and the Seven Sirens Part 1 is a platform-adventure game developed by WayForward Technologies, released in 2019 as a launch exclusive on iOS through Apple Arcade. It is the fifth entry in the Shantae series and constitutes less than half of the complete game, concluding on a cliffhanger while Part 2 was planned for a later update. The game follows Shantae, the half-genie hero, through a tropical setting centered on a large sunken city. A newly introduced mechanic called Fusion Magic expands the player's ability to navigate the environment and progress through the adventure. Along the way, Shantae encounters other half-genie characters and faces antagonists known as the Seven Sirens. The full game was planned for release across additional platforms beyond iOS.
