Shift Quantum is a puzzle platformer developed by Fishing Cactus and released in 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game's central mechanic, called Shifting, lets players invert the black-and-white environment, turning solid barriers into open passages and negative space into solid ground. This inversion system forms the basis of over 100 levels set within a cyber-noir world tied to Axon Vertigo, a fictional organization running a mysterious brain program. Eight distinct gameplay block types introduce additional layers of complexity across the solo campaign. Beyond the main content, the game includes a fully featured level editor that allows players to build and publish their own stages, with cross-platform sharing enabling access to community-created levels from all supported platforms. The soundtrack was composed by Volkor X and Simon Felix. The game supports 4K resolution, controller and keyboard input, and cloud save functionality.
