SimAnimals Africa is a 2009 wildlife simulation game released for the Wii in which players interact with and care for a range of animals native to the African continent. The roster includes nine real species: African Bush Elephant, Lowland Gorilla, African Lion, Nile Crocodile, Black Rhinoceros, Thomson's Gazelle, Masai Giraffe, Plains Zebra, and Nile Hippopotamus. The game focuses on hands-on engagement with these animals within African environments, using the Wii's motion controls to facilitate direct interaction. As a follow-up entry in the SimAnimals series, it shifts the setting away from woodland ecosystems toward the savanna and river habitats associated with sub-Saharan Africa, giving the title a distinct regional identity built around a recognizable selection of iconic African wildlife.
