SingStar Vol. 2 is a karaoke music game developed by SCE London Studio, released in 2008 for PlayStation 3 as the follow-up to the first PS3 entry in the SingStar series. Players earn points by matching pitch rather than lyrics — the game measures how accurately a singer hits the correct note at the correct moment, with no word recognition system in place. Octave shifts mid-song do not affect scoring, keeping the focus entirely on tonal accuracy. The game introduces a Harmony Duet mode, in which two players simultaneously sing different vocal lines of the same song, adding a cooperative layer to the standard karaoke format. As with others in the series, the core experience centers on performing along to a licensed song library, with performance scored on the precision and consistency of the player's pitch throughout each track.
