Sisters Royale: Five Sisters Under Fire is a vertical-scrolling shoot 'em up developed by AlfaSystem Co., Ltd., released in 2018 for PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It marked the studio's first new title in 12 years, following Castle of Shikigami III. The premise centers on five sisters, each with distinct abilities, competing to win the hand of an angel named Yashin. Players select one of the sisters and battle through stages in classic arcade shooter fashion. The scoring system is built around two interlocking mechanics: the Tension Bonus System (TBS), which multiplies scores and coin counts based on proximity to enemies and their projectiles, and the Powershot System, which converts standard attacks into stronger ones to push the tension multiplier higher. When the TBS doubles within a set time window, hidden Secret Fairies become discoverable within stages, adding an extra layer of pursuit for high-score chasers.
