Sky Break is an open-world action RPG developed by Farsky Interactive and released in 2016 for Windows, Linux, and Mac. Set on Arcania, a former human colony planet now overrun by rogue drones, the game follows a researcher sent to harvest the planet's unique flora in search of a cure for a deadly virus — only to crash-land and become stranded. Survival depends largely on the player's ability to hack the hostile mechas that roam the landscape and recruit them as combat allies, since these machines are typically too powerful to defeat through direct confrontation alone. Winning fights earns fragments used to upgrade both mecha abilities and the player character's own skills. Persistent violent weather — including lightning strikes and tornadoes — adds an environmental hazard that can be mitigated by reactivating old ionizing installations scattered across the map. A crashed spaceship serves as an early base, and cleared weather zones eventually allow faster travel between regions.
