Solo Leveling: Arise is an action RPG developed by Netmarble, released in 2024 for PC, iOS, Android, and Xbox Series X|S. Based on the South Korean webtoon, it follows Sung Jinwoo as he progresses from a weak hunter toward becoming the world's most powerful, with the game incorporating both the original story and newly written chapters exclusive to this adaptation. Combat is built around weapon choices, skill combinations, and a branching skill tree offering eight distinct job advancement paths. Defensive mechanics include an evasion system and a parry window that rewards precise timing with counterattacks. A Monarch Awakening system unlocks additional abilities tied to Jinwoo's transformation into the Shadow Monarch, succeeding the entity Ashborn. Players can also craft weapons drawn from the source material, including Kasaka's Venom Fang and the Demon King's Daggers, using loot gathered from field enemies. A four-player co-op raid mode allows parties to challenge powerful boss-tier Commanders.
About a decade ago, "gates" began to open and connect this world to different dimensions. "Awakened Beings" started to appear among ordinary citizens. Believing it's the end, he accepts the inevitable... ...But awakens to discover new and strange abilities. A quest window, like one from a video game- only visible to him! And with it, a secret means of "Leveling Up!" He now seeks to "level up" by hunting monsters and completing these quests... ...that can only be done solo!
