Released in 2009 for the Nintendo DS, Spore Hero Arena is an action combat game in which players build and customize three-dimensional Spore creatures, a first for the handheld platform. The game follows a galactic conflict that sends players across multiple planets, where they engage enemies in battle and collect parts to upgrade their creature. Combat takes place in a series of arena matches against increasingly dangerous opponents, with the overarching goal of claiming the title of Galactic Champion.
