Star Wars: Battlefront – Elite Squadron is a third-person shooter developed by Rebellion Developments and released in 2009 for PlayStation Portable. The game's central feature is a seamless, vertically connected battlefield that stretches from ground combat through atmospheric flight and into space, allowing players to move continuously between these layers using classic Star Wars vehicles and ultimately board large capital ships to continue fighting. An original single-player campaign follows a new story set across the full span of the Star Wars saga. Beyond the campaign, the game includes expanded character customization, a range of unlockable achievements, multiplayer modes with stat tracking, new heroes and villains drawn from the broader franchise, additional Star Wars worlds, and newly introduced weapons that extend the arsenal beyond what earlier entries in the series offered.
