Released in 2016 for the Nintendo 3DS, Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns is a role-playing farming simulator developed by Marvelous, released as part of the series' 20th anniversary. The game centers on a customizable protagonist — either male or female — who engages with three culturally distinct communities: Lulucoco Town, a tropical island settlement; Tsuyukusa Village, a traditional Japanese-style community; and Wes Town, a western-themed locale. Each of the three towns has its own distinct cultural identity, offering varied environments and social dynamics for the player to explore. Characters including Noel, Miranda, Megan, and Frank populate Wes Town and form part of the broader cast.
