Strikers 1945 II is a vertical-scrolling shoot-'em-up developed by Psikyo, originally released in arcades in 1997 and later ported to numerous platforms including PlayStation, Sega Saturn, and modern consoles and mobile devices. Set after the events of its predecessor, the game follows the Strikers as they mobilize against the FGR, a splinter group that seized technology from the defeated CANY organization and now threatens global war using advanced mech weaponry. Players choose from six World War II-era fighter aircraft, each with distinct characteristics, and progress through stages collecting power-up items, bombs to neutralize enemy fire, and a rechargeable gauge that fuels the "Super Shot," a powerful special attack adding a strategic layer to the action. Arcade mode offers seven difficulty settings ranging from beginner-friendly to Very Hard, while a separate Score Attack mode features fixed parameters and global online leaderboards. Display options include a vertical screen orientation that replicates the original arcade presentation.
