Tao's Adventure: Curse of the Demon Seal is a role-playing game developed by Konami for the Nintendo DS, released in 2006. The story follows Tao, a young student of the magical arts living on Bente Island, whose life is upended when the Demon Seal in a distant Monster Tower fractures, unleashing ancient monsters across the land. One particularly powerful creature, Straitser, curses Tao's entire village, petrifying the townspeople — including his own family. To reverse the curse, Tao must locate Straitser's monster egg and return it to the village's surviving elders, who alone possess the knowledge to break the spell. The task carries an urgent deadline: if Tao fails to return before the next full moon, the curse becomes permanent. Progress requires mastering magic abilities while repairing the Demon Seal and confronting the monsters set loose by its destruction.
