The Death of Erin Myers is a first-person point-and-click adventure developed by Viperante and released for PC in 2019. It serves as the opening entry in the studio's Short Story Series, a planned anthology of five standalone games, each designed to be completed in a single sitting of one to two hours. The game centers on Erin Myers, a police officer whose death is established from the outset. Rather than working toward preventing it, the player moves backward through key moments of her life, piecing together the circumstances and motivations that led to her end. The focus is on character — her fears, desires, and hidden secrets — rather than on conventional plot twists or resolution. Gameplay follows classic point-and-click conventions, with inventory-based puzzles and full mouse control. Though brief and self-contained, the experience shares thematic and mechanical DNA with the other entries in the series, which collectively explore dark and occasionally macabre subject matter.
