Released in 2005 by Heavy Iron Studios, The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer is a platform-adventure game available on PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, PC, and Mac. Picking up directly where the first Pixar film ends, the game follows Mr. Incredible and Frozone as they descend into underground tunnels in pursuit of the Underminer, whose plans threaten world domination. Meanwhile, the rest of the Incredible family contends with threats on the surface, running as a parallel storyline that broadens the narrative beyond the film's conclusion. Players can switch between Mr. Incredible and Frozone during the campaign, each bringing distinct abilities that develop as the game progresses. A cooperative multiplayer mode is also available, allowing two players to control the duo simultaneously. The differing skill sets of both characters add variety to combat and traversal throughout the underground setting.
