The Legendary Starfy is a platformer and adventure game developed by Tose, released in 2008 for the Nintendo DS. Players control Starfy, a cloud-kingdom prince, as he journeys alongside his clam companion Moe to help a mysterious bunny-eared visitor recover lost memories. Gameplay involves navigating ocean currents, crossing hazardous terrain, and battling enemies through a variety of environments. A central mechanic allows Starfy to team up with a friend and transform into four distinct forms, each with unique abilities — for example, the Monster form's Fire Belly attack clears obstacles, while the Rooster form's Super Gawk disperses groups of enemies. The game also includes a local wireless multiplayer component supporting both cooperative play, where a second player joins as Starfy's sister Starly in main-adventure levels, and competitive mini-games such as Depth Chargers, Fishing Derby, Sand Tracer, Coin Slinger, and Dumpling Master.
