Rather than casting the player as a soldier, the game centers on a group of civilians attempting to endure a prolonged urban siege, contending with food shortages, scarce medicine, sniper fire, and dangerous scavengers. Daytime hours are spent inside a makeshift shelter, where survivors craft supplies, trade, and maintain their refuge while snipers make venturing outside too risky. At night, one civilian can be sent out to scavenge a variety of distinct locations for resources critical to the group's survival.
