Released in February 2006 by Codemasters, TOCA Race Driver 3 is the third entry in the TOCA racing series, available on PlayStation 2, Xbox, PSP, PC, and Mac. Known as DTM Race Driver 3 in Germany and V8 Supercars 3 in Australia, the game includes fully licensed championships such as the DTM series and V8 Supercars championship. Players can compete across 120 championships spanning 35 distinct racing disciplines, encompassing open-wheel, GT, oval, rally, and off-road formats. Progression runs through two primary modes: a structured Pro Career and an open-ended World Tour, with additional bonus championships available across various disciplines. Many circuits are locked until earned through Pro Career victories or lap records. Online multiplayer supports up to 12 players on Xbox and 8 on PlayStation 2, the latter being notable as the only racing simulator on that platform to offer an online racing mode. The Mac port was developed by Robosoft Technologies.
