Trine 2: Director's Cut is a platform puzzle-adventure game developed by Frozenbyte, released in 2012 exclusively for the Wii U as the definitive version of Trine 2. The package bundles the base game together with the Goblin Menace expansion, offering a more complete experience than the original release. It also includes an exclusive stage, the Dwarven Caverns, not found in other versions of the game. Controls are adapted to make use of the Wii U GamePad, taking advantage of the hardware's unique input options. The Director's Cut served as the initial release of this edition, making the Wii U the first platform to receive this expanded compilation of content.
