Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes is a 2D fighting game developed by French Bread, released in 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The first numbered sequel in the series, it follows the events of the Hollow Night as the world of Sys:Celes edges toward total collapse. The game features a roster of 24 characters rendered in highly detailed HD pixel art, including three newcomers: Kaguya, Tsurugi, and Kuon. Every character has received new moves — Hyde gains Blaring Outrage, Linne gains Soaring Dragon — while two fresh mechanics, Creeping Edge and Celestial Vorpal, add further strategic depth. Accessible inputs allow less experienced players to execute techniques without complex commands. Online play is enhanced by rollback netcode, introduced for the first time in the series, alongside a Casual Match option that lowers the barrier to competitive online play.
