Underwurlde is a 2D side-scrolling platform game developed by Ashby Computers and Graphics Ltd. and released in 1984 for the ZX Spectrum and Commodore C64/128/MAX. It is the second entry in the Sabreman series, following Sabre Wulf, and continues the adventures of the same protagonist through a new subterranean setting. The game unfolds across a flip-screen environment, and the central objective is to navigate the Underwurlde and locate one of three exits, each leading to a different destination: Knight Lore, Pentagram, or Mire Mare. This branching exit structure gives the game a modest degree of choice in how players conclude their escape. The title was later included in Rare's 2015 retrospective compilation for Xbox One, placing it among the preserved works from the studio's early catalog.
