Unholy is a horror adventure RPG developed by Duality Games, released in 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Players navigate between two parallel worlds: a bleak, brutalist post-Soviet Eastern European city and a grotesque alternate society governed by a tyrannical priest caste, all while investigating the disappearance of a child. Gameplay combines exploration, puzzle-solving, stealth, and combat, with an unconventional weapon system built around four emotions — anger, fear, sadness, and desire — each capable of manipulating the environment or affecting enemies in distinct ways. A mask mechanic adds further depth, allowing players to craft custom masks for skill progression or don enemies' masks to impersonate and deceive opponents. The game's unsettling visual identity draws from the dark artistic work of Tomasz Strzałkowski, Duality Games' art director and founder, lending the experience a distinctly grotesque, narrative-driven atmosphere.
