Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is a PlayStation VR shooter developed by Supermassive Games, the studio behind the horror title Until Dawn, and released in 2016. The game places players on a rollercoaster track that serves as the vehicle through seven levels of horror-themed environments, where enemies and monsters approach from multiple directions. Armed with dual weapons, players shoot through waves of threats while ducking and dodging incoming hazards. The experience features branching paths that vary the route through each run, lending replayability to the experience. A global leaderboard system provides a competitive incentive alongside the survival objective. The game is exclusive to PlayStation VR and draws on carnival and nightmare imagery to build its atmosphere, functioning as a rail-based arcade shooter wrapped in an horror framework rather than a continuation of the narrative found in the original Until Dawn.
