Valhalla Knights is a role-playing game developed by K2, released in 2006 for the PlayStation Portable and later available on PlayStation Vita. Set in the dangerous lands of Eldar, the game centers on assembling and customizing a party of six characters drawn from five races — human, dwarf, halfling, elf, and machine — each assigned one of eight job classes, including Fighter, Mage, Priest, Thief, Knight, Samurai, Ninja, and Anchor. Players equip their party with a broad selection of weapons, armor, and accessories before engaging more than 100 enemy types, among them dragons, vampires, and giants, in real-time combat where control can be switched between any party member mid-battle. Environments range from forests and dungeons to castles and a ninja village. A local ad hoc multiplayer mode supports cooperative missions as well as competitive two-player bouts with gold and items at stake.
