Variable Barricade is a romance visual novel developed by Otomate, released in 2019 for PlayStation Vita and Nintendo Switch. The story centers on Hibari, the heiress to a wealthy and distinguished family, whose meddling grandfather arranges an unconventional matchmaking scheme: she is installed in a lavish villa alongside four carefully selected bachelor candidates and her personal butler. Each suitor pursues her with considerable determination, putting Hibari through a steady stream of domestic and emotional challenges. Rather than seeking romance, however, she has two firm objectives — drive away all of the candidates and avoid falling in love entirely.
