Vietcong: Fist Alpha is a 2004 expansion pack for the Vietnam War shooter Vietcong, developed by Illusion Softworks for PC. The add-on follows a US Special Forces unit operating in the Vietnamese highlands during 1967, expanding the base game's content with seven new single-player missions and eight additional multiplayer maps. The expansion broadens the available arsenal with six new weapons alongside close-combat options including bayonets and machetes, and introduces several historically relevant aircraft — the B-52 bomber, the F-105 Thunderchief, and the F-4 Phantom — which factor into the combat alongside increased artillery activity affecting both American and North Vietnamese forces. Designed as a direct complement to the original Vietcong campaign, Fist Alpha extends the jungle warfare experience without departing from the setting or mechanics established in its predecessor.
