Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II – Retribution is a standalone real-time strategy expansion developed by Relic Entertainment, released in 2011 for PC, Linux, and Mac. Set in the brutal conflicts of the 41st millennium, it offers six playable factions, each with distinct units, playstyles, and a dedicated single-player campaign — a first for the Dawn of War II series. Players can approach combat by assembling large armies or concentrating on smaller squads of elite heroes, with progression systems that allow hero upgrades and the gradual unlocking of additional buildable units.
