White Day: A Labyrinth Named School is a survival horror adventure developed by Sonnori and released in 2017, available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Players take on the role of Hee-Min Lee, a student navigating the corridors of Yeondu High School after hours. The game draws on Korean horror traditions, placing an emphasis on stealth and evasion rather than combat, as the school is stalked by deadly ghosts that cannot simply be fought off. Alongside the supernatural threats, the experience incorporates environmental puzzles and a variety of hidden secrets woven throughout the school's layout. The setting — a single recognizable institution rendered in oppressive detail — serves as the primary source of tension, making the familiar architecture of a high school feel persistently dangerous and unknowable.
Set in South Korea in 2001, players control Lee Hui-min, a new transfer student at a local high school who sneaks into the institution after hours to prepare a white day surprise for his crush, Han So-young. Upon entry, Hui-min becomes trapped and begins to encounter the supernatural. With the assistance of other students, Hui-min traverses the building, hiding from foes and using item micro-management to solve puzzles to progress through the school, in an attempt to leave the building before dawn.
