Worms: A Space Oddity is a turn-based strategy and puzzle game developed by Team17, released in 2008 exclusively for the Wii. A space-themed entry in the long-running Worms series, it retains the franchise's signature artillery-style combat, humor, and stylized environments while adapting the experience specifically for Wii hardware. The redesigned control scheme uses the Wii Remote to execute attacks through gesture-based inputs, replacing traditional button commands with motion controls. Players engage in both single-player and multiplayer modes, including a selection of party games alongside the series' established competitive match format. The game features a new visual style alongside expanded customization options. As with other entries in the series, teams of worms take turns deploying an arsenal of eccentric weapons across destructible terrain, with positioning and timing forming the core strategic elements.
