Worms: Open Warfare 2 is a turn-based strategy game developed by Two Tribes B.V., released in 2007 for PlayStation Portable and Nintendo DS. Building on the series' signature team-versus-team artillery combat, it delivers an extensive single-player offering alongside new multiplayer modes, including Forts mode and Race mode. Players can customize their teams and game schemes extensively. The Nintendo DS version takes advantage of the hardware in several notable ways: gameplay is spread across both screens, all wireless modes are supported including Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, and the landscape and flag editors are designed around touch-screen input. That version also includes an exclusive Laboratory mode with three distinct puzzle-style experiments — Blow, Blast, and Draw — which respectively challenge players to guide a worm using airflow, on-screen explosions, or hand-drawn landscape alterations to reach a safe exit.
