Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure is a point-and-click puzzle adventure developed by Capcom and released in 2007 for the Wii, later made available on Wii U. The game follows Zack, an aspiring pirate, and his magical monkey companion Wiki as they search for treasure while aiding the skeletal remains of the legendary pirate Barbaros. Gameplay unfolds across a series of discrete stages in which the player must figure out the correct sequence of actions to collect each stage's treasure, carefully avoiding traps and enemies. Much of the challenge lies in deducing cause-and-effect relationships within each environment. When Zack picks up most items, the perspective shifts to first person, and the player is expected to physically handle the Wii Remote as though it were the actual object shown on screen, making direct use of the controller's motion-sensing capabilities.
