Zoop is a fast-paced action-puzzle game developed by Hookstone and released in 1995 across a wide range of platforms, including Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, PlayStation, Atari Jaguar, Game Gear, PC, and Mac. The player controls a colored shape positioned at the center of the screen and must prevent an encroaching mass of colored shapes from reaching it. To clear incoming pieces, the player aims and fires toward them. When the fired shot matches the color of a target shape, that shape and all consecutive same-colored pieces behind it are eliminated in a chain. When the colors do not match, the player's piece swaps colors with the target instead. Managing these color exchanges while clearing advancing shapes before they close in forms the core of the gameplay, rewarding quick reactions and deliberate color management.
