Released in 2009 by Swordfish Studios for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand is a third-person shooter built around rapper 50 Cent and his G-Unit crew. The story begins when concert promoter Anwar fails to deliver a promised $10 million payment to 50 Cent and G-Unit following a performance in an unnamed Middle Eastern country, substituting a diamond-and-pearl encrusted human skull as collateral. The skull is quickly seized by a paramilitary faction led by a terrorist named Kamal, setting off a violent pursuit through an urban warzone that reveals a larger threat behind the initial theft. Players control 50 Cent throughout the campaign, while a second character — chosen from G-Unit members Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, or DJ Whoo Kid, each with distinct combat specializations — joins either as an AI companion or through online co-op play.
