All-Star Baseball 2004 is a baseball simulation developed by Acclaim Studios Austin and released in 2003 for Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, and PlayStation 2. It is the latest entry in Acclaim's long-running baseball series and introduces more than 80 new features and improvements over its predecessor. The most prominent changes involve the interface: the batting cursor retains its triangular form but sports a revised outline, while bunting now uses a ground-based directional arrow rather than the traditional cursor-aiming system. Fielding has also been updated, with the ball cursor changing color to aid tracking. Beneath these interface refinements sits a franchise mode that offers greater depth and customization options than earlier installments. Core mechanics for swinging, bunting, stealing, and fielding remain button-based and familiar. The game supports up to four players simultaneously.
