The Hidden Ones is the first of two downloadable expansion packs for Assassin's Creed: Origins, developed by Ubisoft Montreal and released in January 2018 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Set in the role-playing and adventure genres, the expansion takes place several years after the conclusion of the main game's story. Players return to the role of Bayek, who travels to the Sinai Peninsula and finds himself drawn into a struggle between occupying Roman forces and a local rebel faction. Beyond its new region and conflict, the expansion advances the broader narrative of the Hidden Ones organization, tracing the developments that unfolded in the aftermath of the Brotherhood's formal establishment. It was released alongside a second expansion, The Curse of the Pharaohs, as part of the game's post-launch content.
