Assassin's Creed: Pirates is a naval action game developed by Ubisoft Paris and released in 2013 for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and PC. Players control Alonzo Batilla, a young pirate captain navigating the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy. The core gameplay centers on real-time naval combat, where players select from weapons such as pivot cannons and mortars, maneuvering their vessel to attack enemies and evade return fire. Ships can be upgraded extensively, and crews are built up through recruitment and the learning of over 50 techniques covering cannonry and sail management. Beyond combat, the game features a large explorable map with nearly a hundred hidden treasures, Mayan temple parkour sequences, and wildlife hunting for supplies. The narrative follows a quest tied to the lost treasure of the pirate La Buse, with the Assassin-Templar conflict woven throughout and historical figures such as Blackbeard appearing across the storyline.
