Battle Arena Toshinden 2 is a weapon-based 3D fighting game developed by Tamsoft, released in 1995 for Arcade, PlayStation, and PC. Players select from a roster of martial arts fighters, each defined by a distinct weapon and combat style, and compete in a clandestine tournament. Returning characters include Eiji, a swordsman, Sofia with her whip, and Mondo wielding a spear, all of whom have been given expanded move sets and new special attacks compared to the original game. Two additional fighters join the roster as new entrants, bringing their own unique abilities and techniques to the competition. The game builds on its predecessor by deepening the combat system, encouraging players to learn the expanded movesets of each character in order to succeed in the arena's single-elimination format.
