Released in arcades in 2009 and later brought to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is a 2D fighting game developed by Arc System Works. A direct sequel to BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, it preserves the series' core structure of one-on-one duels played out on a two-dimensional plane. The roster expands on its predecessor's, introducing new playable characters to the lineup. Players select a fighter and compete in close-range combat matches, carrying forward the mechanics and aesthetic that defined the original entry while building on its foundation with additional content.
