This game is rated ESRB: Everyone.
Released in 1997 for Windows, Boggle by PCA Inc. is a digital adaptation of the classic word-finding board game. The core mode follows the familiar format: sixteen lettered dice are rolled into a four-by-four grid, and players must identify as many valid words as possible before time runs out. Beyond this traditional ruleset, the game introduces several computer-exclusive variations. One expands play into a three-dimensional four-by-four-by-four cube of dice. Another is a head-to-head mode in which players arrange the dice themselves before the word-searching phase begins. Two additional modes borrow mechanics from falling-block puzzle games, challenging players to find words among dice that advance toward them in real time. The package covers the puzzle and board game genres, offering both faithful recreation of the original game and new formats designed around the possibilities of the PC format.
